
The Medicaid Personal Care Program includes hands-on, non-skilled in-home services provided to those who are medically and financially eligible. Medical eligibility is based on a functional assessment by a medical professional.
Personal Care Services are available to assist an eligible individual perform activities of daily living in the person’s home, place of employment or community. You must require hands on assistance or supervision in activities of daily living and instrumental activities of daily living.
Services may not solely involve ancillary tasks such as housekeeping or assistance with chores.
The Personal Care Program is a Medicaid reimbursed service. You must meet medical eligibility guidelines to qualify. Once qualified you are not required to pay for this service.
The Raleigh County Commission on Aging provides the Personal Care Program in the following counties:

Wyoming
Summers
Greenbrier
Nicholas
Kanawha
